Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Naqdibook ("Naqdibook," "the Software," "we," "us") handles data when you install and use the Naqdibook point-of-sale application on your computer. Naqdibook is developed and provided by Deixtra (Private) Limited ("the Provider").

Naqdibook is designed as an offline, desktop point-of-sale application. Your business data — products, sales, customers, inventory, and reports — is stored locally on the device where the Software is installed. It is not synced to a cloud server by default. This policy describes exactly what limited data does leave your device, and why.

1. Data We Do Not Collect

Because Naqdibook runs locally, we do not have access to, and do not collect or store on our servers:

  • Your sales records, invoices, receipts, or transaction history
  • Your product catalog, stock levels, or pricing
  • Your customer names, contact details, or purchase history
  • Your financial or accounting records
  • Any staff or user accounts you create inside the Software

All of the above remains on your local device (and any backup location you configure yourself).

2. Data We Do Collect

To operate license activation and protect against unauthorized copying, Naqdibook collects a small, limited set of technical information when you activate or manually activate a license:

DataPurpose
Device fingerprint (a one-way SHA-256 hash generated from motherboard, BIOS, and CPU identifiers)Binds your license to your device to prevent unauthorized duplication. The hash cannot be reversed to reveal the original hardware identifiers.
License key and activation statusValidates that your copy of Naqdibook is licensed and determines feature access.
Basic activation metadata (e.g. activation date, software version)Support, license tracking, and fraud prevention.
Manual activation: if you activate your license manually (e.g. on a device with no internet access), the same device-fingerprint information is exchanged with the Provider through an offline activation file rather than an automatic network call.

3. Admin Panel Data

If your license or subscription is managed through the Naqdibook admin panel, the Provider may store account-level information you provide directly, such as your business name, contact email, and license/subscription status, along with authentication data for admin accounts (including TOTP two-factor authentication secrets, stored securely and never in plain text).

4. How We Use Collected Data

  • To activate and validate your software license
  • To prevent unauthorized or fraudulent use of the Software
  • To provide customer support when you contact us
  • To communicate important updates about your license or the Software

We do not sell, rent, or share this information with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Storage and Security

Business data created inside Naqdibook (sales, inventory, customers, etc.) is stored in a local database on your device. You are responsible for backing up this data and for the physical and digital security of the device it is stored on. Activation and admin-panel data held by the Provider is stored on secured servers with access restricted to authorized personnel, and sensitive credentials (such as 2FA secrets) are stored using industry-standard encryption or hashing.

6. Data Retention

License and activation records are retained for as long as your license is active and for a reasonable period afterward for support and fraud-prevention purposes. You may request deletion of your admin-panel account data as described in Section 8, subject to any legal or contractual retention requirements.

7. Third-Party Services

Naqdibook does not embed third-party analytics or advertising trackers inside the desktop application. If the admin panel or license server relies on any third-party infrastructure (e.g. hosting or email delivery providers), those providers process data only on the Provider's behalf and under confidentiality obligations.

8. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the account-level data the Provider holds about you (as described in Sections 2–3) by contacting us using the details below. Local business data stored on your own device is entirely within your control at all times.

9. Children's Privacy

Naqdibook is a business tool and is not directed at, or intended for use by, children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Software or applicable law. We will update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made. Continued use of the Software after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
